Indian Falls

From the Top of the Falls - Indian River
Cave exploring was not the only thing I accomplished during my tour around the Sauble area. (see last post) Only hours later, I found myself scaling the dangerous trail to the top of Indian Falls – a relatively small but picturesque horseshoe waterfall. The rock formations are almost of more interest then the waterfall itself, and show some very interesting colour patterns.
The next picture shows the falls themselves, taken from below. Getting beneath the falls is actually much more difficult than getting above them because there is no trail leading down there. Nevertheless, I tried to get to the bottom anyway, injuring my back and ankles in the process. Sadly most the pictures I took down there were not up to my standards. Oh well, the journey is half the fun. This shot from mid-cliff side turned out a little better.
