Just FYI
Starting today, I am leaving town for about two and a half weeks. I’ll be at Sturgeon Bay Provincial Park. As my own gallery illustrates, it’s a breathtaking place, which is why after going there every year for 16 years I still enjoy it so much. I also enjoy it for other reasons.
Anyone who knows me well is quite aware that I spend far too much time using the internet, and that I crave the information it brings me at the click of a mouse. However, going up North to Sturgeon Bay takes all of that away from me. As a result, I get an awful lot of time to think. In fact, thinking is one of the greatest things I accomplish there year after year. I often come back with brilliant thoughts and ideas just begging to be further explored with the help of the internet. The lack of contact with the rest of the world also offers a lot of time for personal reflection – something which I believe everyone needs now and then. I look forward to the opportunity, because in the short year since my last trip, I’ve come to need some time away again more than ever. A lot of crap can happen in a year.
Anyway, I’ll be sure to return with some interesting photos and stories, which I’ll post here. See you all when I get back!
